Do you have a lot of questions about the Catholic faith? This night is for you. We are presenting an overview of the teaching of the church in a lecture/discussion format based on pariticipants questions. Join us in St. Joseph Hall on Thursday, October 29 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Advance registration for this evening is required. Please call the parish office to register at 651-784-3015.
Movies and Theology: The 2 Popes
We gather to watch a film that looks at this very unique time in history of having 2 living Popes. This movie is an interpretation of events and looks at how the two Popes co-exist with very different views of our Roman Catholic Church. We meet to watch and then discuss the movie on Thursday, December 12 from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Advance Registration is required.
Adult Faith Winter Presentation: The Prophets – Old Testament, New Testament, and Beyond
The Old Testament tells powerful and, sometimes, bizarre stories of prophets who spoke God’s word to the Nation of Israel. We hear of prophets in the New Testament also, but rarely identify them as such. Some believe prophesy ended with the closing of scripture. But it did not. Ivy Cavegn will take us on a captivating exploration of prophesy that reaches back thousands of years, continues today and has extraordinary relevance for us now. This three-part series is scheduled for the following dates:
- January 14, 2021
- January 21, 2021
- January 28, 2021
Each date has a morning session starting at 9:30 am and an evening session that starts at 7:00 pm. There is no registration fee and all are invited to attend.
