There are two parish wide celebrations of the sacrament during the year at a Saturday morning liturgy. The Church teaches that the Anointing of the Sick is a community Sacrament. The Catechism of the Catholic Church states that when people are anointed they should be "assisted by their pastor and the whole ecclesial community, which is invited to surround the sick in a special way through their prayers." (#1516). The Sacrament graces the whole person-body, mind, and spirit.

You are invited to join us for a special Mass, Anointing of the Sick on Thursday, March 14 at 10:00 am in the Worship Space. During the liturgy all who wish to receive the Sacrament of the Sick will have the opportunity to be anointed. Anointing is for anyone experiencing physical, emotional, or spiritual distress.
