Elementary School Trail Blazers Program Grades 1-5
Our Trail Blazers (Grades 1-5) Faith Formation Ministry is designed to engage children through experiential learning, combining hands-on guided learning through "play" and reflective thinking. We believe it is important for children to be active learners; giving them an opportunity to use all senses to experience the Catholic faith and God's love for us. Sessions include large and small group activities. Children meet for Bible stories, Catholic teachings, group discussions, and experiential learning activities. We use the curriculum from Saint Mary's Press called Discover-Finding Faith in Life for grades 1-5.
Middle School Seekers Program Grades 6-8
Our Seekers (Grades 6-8) will be using the curriculum Connect! Bringing Faith to Life. This program presents the core teachings of the Catholic faith to young people in a way that helps them connect learning with living. Active and engaging lessons encourage honest reflection and meaning making. These students will be asked to participate in service projects throughout the year.
- Trailblazer Elementary Program - Small group, grade level sessions meet September through April during the school year
- Seekers Middle School Program - Large group, small group grade level sessions meet September through April.
- Sacrament Prep & Workshop - Preparation for the Sacrament of First Eucharist & First Reconciliation.
- Vacation Bible School - For kids entering kindergarten in the Fall through completion of 5th grade this year. Takes place in Summer 2024!
St. Joe’s is committed to creating a partnership with families to insure that faith within families continues to grow. We believe that a child’s relationship with Jesus begins at home. Our goal is to work with families to help reinforce a strong foundation of faith and encounter Christ through Catholic teachings.
