Faith Formation Year 2 DTS

Discipleship Training is a two-year Confirmation preparation Process at St. Joseph of the Lakes which Candidates can begin in 9th grade.

Year 2 Discipleship Training: Year 2 Discipleship Training will follow the Chosen: Your Journey to Confirmation, presented by Ascension Press. The goal of the program is to provide a powerful, life-changing experience as the Candidate prepares to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, through knowledge and understanding of the Catholic Faith, as well as addressing and answering questions about life and to challenge him or her to embrace a life of faith.

Year 2 will include a Penance Service at St Joseph of the Lakes, along with 14 in-person sessions throughout the school year (from September to April), a special session for the Candidate and their Sponsor, as well as service opportunities throughout the year.

Each Candidate will be provided a Student Workbook, a Parent Guide and a Sponsor’s Guide. A parent presentation and Introduction to Chosen
