Informational Meeting - Will Based Estate Planning VS Trust Based Planning - Tuesday, October 13
St. Joseph's Council of Catholic Women along with St. Joseph's Men's Group is sponsoring an informational evening with lawyers from North Star Law explaining the differences between will based estate planning and trust based estate planning. This will be held on Tuesday evening, October 13 at 7:00 pm in St. Joseph Hall. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come so plan to join us and bring your friends to find out answers to your questions.
NEW- Band of Brothers Young Men’s Group!
All men between the ages of 21-40 are invited to join the Band of Brothers! We meet twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from 5:30-7:30 pm at one of our members houses for dinner, prayer, & good conversation. Knights of Columbus Pancake Breakfast - Sunday, October 18, after all Masses
The Knights of Columbus at St. Joseph’s are hosting their annual fundraiser Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, October 18, after all Masses. Come join us for fresh handmade pancakes and sausage links. Add your choice of milk, orange juice, coffee, and share a table with friends, family and other parishioners. This meal is a free will offering and funds will be used to support local charities. The Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary is also holding their bake sale so don’t forget to stop and buy a treat for home. Thank you for your generosity!
Halloween Hoopla - Saturday, October 24 from 6:00 to 7:15 pm
Join us for the Annual St. Joseph of the Lakes Halloween Hoopla! Bring 2 non-perishable food items or a $2.00 donation per person to help feed hungry kids and chase away hunger in our community. Don’t forget to wear your costume and join in the fun! Enjoy games, prizes, trick or treating, and concessions will be available for purchase.
Candy Donations for the Halloween Hoopla Event
We are still in need of candy donations for our upcoming Halloween Hoopla. Thank you for your generous support in helping make this special event possible! Candy can be dropped off at the Parish Office during the week, before or after Mass, or during Faith Formation sessions. Please drop off your donated candy by Wednesday, October 21.
Halloween Hoopla Volunteers Needed
Come be part of the fun and help make this special event a success! We’re looking for volunteers to hand out candy to trick-or-treaters, staff one of our exciting Halloween games, and help serve concessions. Boy Scout Troop 263 is selling Christmas Wreaths in the Gathering Space after Masses on October 24 & 25. Please stop by to place an order in the Gathering Space after Mass.
Men's Retreat - October 30 - November 1
All men of the parish are invited to a Men's Retreat the weekend of October 30 - November 1 at Christ the King Retreat Center in Buffalo, MN. It begins on Friday, October 30 at 8:00 pm, and concludes on Sunday, November 1 at 11:30 am. All single rooms have a lakeside view and a private bath. Come enjoy an inexpensive weekend of relaxation and spiritual rejuvenation. Registration forms are in the Gathering Space kiosk, or register online at https://kingshouse.com/.
Memorial Service for All Souls (2026) - Monday, November 2 at 7:00 pm
During the month of November, the Church contemplates the mystery of life and death. As a community of faith, we have shared the loss of your loved one(s) this past liturgical year and will be remembering them at the All Souls Day Mass on Monday, November 2 at 7:00 pm. If you would like to have a picture of your loved one displayed on the big screens at Intercessions (when their name is read aloud) during Mass, please send a digital photo (.jpeg or .png) to Director of Pastoral Ministry, Meisha Johnson, at MeishaJ@SaintJosephsParish.org no later than Noon on Friday, October 23.*When emailing the picture, please include the full name of your deceased loved one with proper pronunciation if necessary.

As we all engage in our parish Spiritual Campaign, this visit from the Archbishop will be inspiring--and a great boost to your spirituality! Families are encouraged to attend together! Come listen, learn and then be ready to join a short, 3 week Small Group session which will provide discussion topics and practical ideas for living a life, where "Only One Thing Is Needed"!
This is a free, (maybe once-in-a-lifetime!) opportunity to listen to the Archbishop in a comfortable, relaxed setting in the Main Church. Bring the family! Bring a friend! Open your heart and hear what is needed!
CCW & KC Christmas Boutique
Only four weeks remaining until the 2026 Christmas Boutique! The Great Hall and St.Joe's Hall will once again be full of great gift ideas, delectable handcrafted candies, tasty beef jerky and a variety of bake sale items. Save-the-Dates November 14 & 15.
Attention Hunters!!!
The Men’s Group is in need of 10-12 deer to “meat” our needs for our annual Venison Dinner. We will take full deer or trimmings. We need to have sufficient venison by the end of October, so processing can be completed for our feast on November 24. If you have an extra tag, or know someone that has extras, please consider donating a deer or two to the Men’s Group. Your donation helps support our scholarship program that gives four $1,250 scholarships to our graduating seniors. Please contact the St Joe’s Office, Steve Mancl or Terry Meyer if you have questions or a donation. We are excited to make this the best Venison Dinner yet and need your help to do it!
Still Time to Register for Faith Formation 2026-2027 Programs - Late Fee Registration Period Starts Now.
Our faith formation team looks forward to helping our parish’s children and youth grow in their personal connection with God in our world.
The registration period ends on September 1, 2026.
Registrations made after this date will include a late fee,
and the child’s name may be placed on a waitlist until an open spot on our active roster can be confirmed.
Please register using the Google Form link below that corresponds to your child’s age/grade for the 2026-2027 school year. Each child must be registered separately.
After you register your child, return to this page for the link to pay online (unless you wish to pay by check or cash at the parish office instead).
We love our faith formation volunteers! We’re looking for help across a variety of roles. Check out the volunteer opportunities we offer and sign up to help make our programs a success again this year.
Here’s how to register for faith formation, pay for fees, and sign up to volunteer:

- Read through the St. Joe’s Faith Formation Program Offerings.
- Select, complete, and submit the registration form(s) you need for your children.
- Pre-K and Kindergarten Registration Form
- Elementary and Middle School Registration Form
- Confirmation (9th grade and older) Registration Form
4. Decide on your payment method for faith formation registration fees. Note that registration and
payment are separate steps.
- Payments can be made online through the St. Joe’s secure payment page (click the button below), or in cash/check brought in to the parish office during regular business hours.
- Scholarships (whole or partial) for faith formation fees are available this year. See the registration forms for more information.
