Mary, The Holy Mother of God/New Year's

Knights of Columbus Hockey Challenge
All boys and girls ages 10 to 17 are invited to participate in a local level competition for the 2026 Knights of Columbus Hockey Challenge. The local competition will be held on the following dates: Wednesday, January 7, 2026 in the Great Hall after Faith Formation and Sunday, January 11, 2026 in St. Joseph Hall after both Masses. The winners have the opportunity to participate at the State event held on April 18, 2026 from 9am to 1pm at St. Joseph of the Lakes in St. Joseph Hall. Hockey sticks are provided, but if you prefer to use your own, please bring it with you. Kids younger than 10 are also welcome to participate but will not be part of the State competition.
Parent Formation - “New Beginnings” on Wednesday, January 7 at 5:40 pm in the Worship Space
This engaging session will offer parents a chance to reflect, recharge, and reconnect as we step into a new year of faith. Whether you’re continuing your journey or joining us for the first time, this evening will provide encouragement, meaningful conversation, and practical inspiration for living out your faith at home. We would love to have you join us for this first Parent Formation gathering of the year at 5:40 pm in the Worship Space.
4H Lino Lakes Family Dance Party
We have FUN for ALL with preschool play areas, free carnival-style games, door prize drawings, refreshment sales (Root Beer Floats), and good old-fashioned dancing! All proceeds are being donated to Anoka County 4-H Camp Salie programming! Help us send a camper to camp while dancing the night away!

Prime & Wine Dinner - Saturday, January 10, 2026
All are invited to join us for a fabulous dinner where the Men's Group does the cooking and the cleaning. The doors open at 6:00 pm and dinner is served at 6:30 pm. Tickets are on sale now for $35.00 per person which includes a salad, prime rib, baked potato, vegetable, a glass of wine a dessert. Save space on your calendar for this tasty and fun event and start your New Year off right!
CCW Baby Shower - January 10 & 11
Next weekend – January 10 and 11, the Council of Catholic Women holds their annual Baby Shower to benefit Forest Lake Care Center. This is our opportunity to support this alternative to abortion organization. Baby bottles and envelopes will be available for cash donations. A display will feature onesie tags with items that the center needs. St. Joseph of the Lakes has always been very generous to this worthy organization, and for that the Center is very grateful. Please return your donations the weekend of January 17 – 18. Most importantly, keep the mothers and children in your prayers.
Baptism Preparation Class - Saturday, January 17
The next Baptism preparation session will be held on Saturday, January 17 at 10:00 am in Rooms 101-103. Please call Jenni Hughes at 651.784.3015 to register for the class or for more information on baptisms here at St. Joe’s.
