We’re all looking forward to our parish festival next weekend and I hope you can join us! It will be my second festival at St. Joe’s and I’m excited to be a part of it!
This year, I’ll be offering my “Steak Spectacular” after the 5:00 PM Saturday evening Mass on August 9. It’s a tasty serving of steak bites and accessories that I hope you’ll enjoy.
Most of the volunteers at the steak booth went through the OCIA process this past year and joined the Catholic Faith. I thank them for their good efforts! Please welcome them to our parish when you see them!
Please join me in thanking all our volunteers who have worked with such dedication and joy to put the festival together. We still need help, so please check with the festival organizers after any of our Masses and see how you can be a part of making our 2025 Summer Festival the best ever!
God Bless,
Fr. Bill

I’ve been to every festival since I was a kid—a looooonnng time ago. Each year there are new and different things to explore. This year I’m anxious to visit Fr. D.’s steak booth. ( I didn’t know priests could cook!) It’s also a time to enjoy a short visit with friends, enemies, old and young, present and former parishioners , even strangers who could become friends—members of St. Joe’s are a friendly group of folks. Come one, come all. There’s something for everyone. The Planning Committee tries to consider everyone and their needs and wants.(. They even made a little ramp so one could easily go from the street level, over the curb, and onto the BIG tent.It is accessible for walkers, wheelchairs, strollers—anyone who needs an easier access. Things like that make ALL feel welcome, seen and heard. (I know cause I’m in a wheelchair.). Hope to see you there! Possibly at the steak booth? or vintage cars, Sat. Mass at 5 p.m. under the BIG tent, fireworks at dark on Sat. night, the many raffle booths, the silent auction, and the always-favorite cake walk. More and much more. I’ll be there and hope you are as well. Look me up—I’m the elderly, well-worn lady in the wheelchair and I’d love to meet you or become re-acquainted.
