Josh Bohl to Begin Seminary Studies
Congratulations to Josh Bohl who has been accepted to begin seminary studies at the St. Paul Seminary this Fall. The son of Thomas and Evelyn Bohl, Josh grew up at St. Joe’s and as an adult has been active in many parish ministries including the Pastoral Council, Finance Council, Respect Life committee, OCIA Catechist, Synod leadership and more. He has lived his Catholic Faith with dedication and commitment, and will most certainly be a great seminarian as he discerns the priesthood.
Josh begins seminary with a propaedeutic year which is a fancy way of saying a preparation year. During the year he will live in a house with other men preparing for the seminary. They will pray together, live in community, and participate in theological studies part time. This year is intended to strengthen the spiritual formation of the candidates before diving full time into theological studies. One interesting aspect of the year is the “technology fast” in which the men are only allowed to use their phones for one day of the week. How many of us could do that?
Please keep Josh in your prayers as he begins this important year in his life and continues to discern his calling from God. May God bless and guide him and may he be strengthened by the prayers of all of us.
In Christ,
Fr. Bill Deziel
