St. Joseph of the Lakes

Jesus said to his apostles:

Whoever gives only a cup of cold water
to one of these little ones to drink
because the little one is a disciple—
amen, I say to you, he will surely not lose his reward.” Mt10:42

I want to thank you for your ongoing generous support of our parish community especially during these days of the coronavirus concerns. When we were all going to church on a regular basis it was easier to throw your contribution into the collection basket as it was placed in your hands. Nowadays you have to be pretty intentional in giving your support. There are several more of you who have started using our on-line giving and others have now signed up for automatic contributions. I especially appreciate those who make use of the automatic giving because it provides a steady stream of income for our community. 

As you give; please consider what Jesus is saying to his apostles in the above quotation from Sunday’s gospel.  “whoever gives only a cup of cold water because the little one is a disciple-amen I say to you, he will surely not lose his reward.”   All of us who contribute continue to build up the kingdom that Jesus began with his apostles. We will surely not lose our reward.
